Inspiration for Malta

Malta is a beautiful small island in the Mediterranean sea. It is perfect for a summer holiday. I went there for 8 days. We only used public transport and I have to say it is well organized and cheap. We stayed at the Cavalieri Art Hotel. It is located in St. Julian. It is recommended. The hotel rooms are nice and we had a beautiful ocean view. See link for more information: http://www.booking.com/Share-c3tEYi

If you like to visit some places during your holiday I have a few tips for you.

ST. JULIAN
Our hotel was located at St. Julian. If you have the time it is recommended to visit. However, if you don't have the time it is not a must see. However, it is still a beautiful fishing village. See pictures for inspiration.

LOVE sculpture - the word is spelled upside down but the trick is it to see the sign in the sea-water below.

VALLETTA
Valletta is a must see. Valletta is the capital city of Malta. There are a lot of things to do. My advice is to go to the Upper Barraka Gardens and Lower Barrakka Garden. You have there beautiful gardens and a view. Everything was within walking distance.

MDINA
Mdina is a must see. It is so beautiful. It feels like you go back in time. And it feels like the time stopped. The place is not that big so you can easily find everything.
Maybe useful 😉

Nice place to make a picture together!

The Famous Blue Door

Pallazzo Costanzo nice place to drink
BLUE GROTTO
Also a must see. It is recommended to take a boat tour. They will tell you stories about the Blue Grotto and you are able to see the blue color up close. If I remember correctly the boat costs eight euros and it will take about 20 minutes. Except for the boat tour, viewpoint and restaurants there is nothing. However, it was a fun activity and if you like nature and blue water it is a must see.
Blue Grotto

You might think 'I see nothing blue'. However, you have to see it by yourself. It is really blue.

BLUE LAGOON
Blue Lagoon is amazing for swimming and sunning. To go there we first went with the bus to Cirkewwa station and after that we used a boat. The company of the boat is named Comino Ferries. On the way back to the mainland the boat company also gives you a little tour.
However, there is no shadow at Blue Lagoon so it is recommended to bring sun protection.
So Blue!!!

I hope the information is useful and gives you inspiration.
Have fun planning your time in Malta!
